Atlantic Medical International (AMI) is Bermuda’s leading supplier of medical products and equipment for the acute and continuing care markets.

Since its inception in 1997, AMI has quickly grown to become the most trusted supplier for the medical community in Bermuda. It is Atlantic Medical International’s objective to be the premier provider of products, services and training to our clients.

AMI seeks to form direct relationships with leading medical manufacturers and avoid intermediary agents. AMI is the sole authorized distributor for such leading brands as: 3M Medical, Baxter, GoJo (Purell), Kimberly-Clark, Metro, Midmark, Welch Allyn, Virox, Dentsply, and Covidien.

By forming direct links with the industry leaders we ensure our clients continual access to the products that they require in a timely and cost effective manner. AMI operates out of a modern 6,500 square foot facility at 2 Jubilee Road in Devonshire. Our central location provides us with ready access to King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEHM) as well as Bermuda’s many medical and dental practitioners. With weekly containers being received our inventory is closely rotated, monitored and revised to ensure the products our customers need are always on hand.

We have seven staff dedicated to the sales, marketing, and logistics efforts at AMI.

Spencer Butterfield, the President of AMI, has extensive operational experience and also serves as the Chief Operations Officer of Butterfield and Vallis.

Peter Tobin, the Vice-President and Managing Director, has numerous years of experience in both the medical and pharmaceutical industry. Peter works closely with KEMH and the company’s primary vendors and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations and strategy.

Chris Merritt, General Manager, is responsible for the day to day operations of the company and oversees the Sales and Marketing efforts of AMI. Prior to joining AMI, Chris worked in the medical field in Canada and here in Bermuda for 7 years and looks forward to maintaining the excellent relationships he has nurtured during this period.

Stephanie Robinson, Medical Account Manager, is responsible for the alternate sites business; including physician and dentist practices, nursing homes, veterinarians and consumer sales. Previously, Stephanie worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative.

Kevin Manuel, our Operations Manager, has full responsibility for all inventory and operations related areas. Kevin joined AMI after several years on the front line of Bermuda’s food and beverage industry, serving in a number of different capacities.

Chris Sousa, is our Warehouse Manager. He works closely with Kevin Mallory our warehouse assistant and driver to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all of our customer orders. In addition he co-ordinates much of the work done around the delivery and receiving of our weekly containers and is responsible for the overall running of the warehouse.

There is no better team on the island to service the needs of Bermuda’s healthcare practitioners.
